Spain

Fresno de Cantespino is a municipality in the province of Segovia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the central-northern part of the Iberian Peninsula, in a region characterised by a continental climate and a landscape of plains and low hills typical of the Castilian countryside.

According to the 2004 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality had a population of 290 inhabitants. This small population figure reflects the modest size and rural character of the settlement, which is one of many sparsely populated municipalities in the province of Segovia.

As a municipality, Fresno de Cantespino holds the administrative status that in Spain entails a defined local government and territory. Its location in Castile and León places it within one of the country's largest autonomous communities, and within the province of Segovia, whose capital of the same name lies to the south.
