Cordovilla la Real is a municipality in the province of Palencia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the northern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental climate and a landscape of plains and low hills typical of the Castilian meseta.
The municipality is small and sparsely populated. According to the 2004 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Cordovilla la Real had a population of 117 inhabitants. As with many rural municipalities in the province of Palencia, its population is concentrated in a single main settlement, and the surrounding territory is used largely for agriculture.
Its administrative status as a municipality places it under the local governance structures common to Spain, with a municipal council responsible for local affairs. The town lies within the wider comarca of the Palencia province, an area known for its cereal-growing countryside and its proximity to the region's historic towns and villages.
