Coomonte is a municipality and town in the province of Zamora, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the northwestern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental Mediterranean climate and a landscape of rolling plains and farmland.
According to the 2023 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality has a population of 175 inhabitants. Like many small municipalities in rural Castile and León, Coomonte has a low population density and a predominantly agricultural economic base.
The town is part of the comarca of Tierra de Campos, a historic and agricultural district that spans parts of several provinces in Castile and León. Its small size and rural setting make it typical of the many sparsely populated municipalities found throughout the region.
