Cepeda la Mora is a town in the province of Ávila, within the autonomous community of Castile and León in north-western Spain. It lies in the region of Castile and León, one of the country's largest autonomous communities, in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula.
The town is part of the municipality of Cepeda la Mora, a small rural settlement typical of the sparsely populated mountain areas of southern Ávila. The surrounding landscape is characterised by the granite peaks and pine forests of the Sierra de Gredos, and the local economy has traditionally been based on livestock farming and forestry.
Like many villages in this part of Castile and León, Cepeda la Mora has seen its population decline over the twentieth century as residents moved to larger cities. It remains a quiet, high-altitude settlement whose stone-built houses and narrow streets reflect the traditional architecture of the Ávila highlands.
