Capillas

Spain

Capillas is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Palencia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It lies in the northern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental climate and a landscape of rolling plains and farmland typical of the Castilian meseta.

The municipality is small, with a recorded population of 86 in 2013. Like many rural settlements in this part of Palencia, it is a minor administrative unit covering a modest area of countryside, with its residents concentrated in the village itself.

Capillas is one of numerous small municipalities that make up the sparsely populated province of Palencia, a province whose settlements are generally agricultural in character and few in number of inhabitants.
