Campazas

Spain

Campazas is a municipality in the province of León, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the northern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental climate and a landscape of plains and low hills typical of the Leonese countryside.

The municipality is small, with a population recorded at 154 inhabitants in the 2010 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE). Like many rural settlements in this part of Castile and León, it is a sparsely populated community whose administrative status as a municipality covers both the main settlement and its surrounding land.

Campazas lies within the broader cultural and historical area of León, a province whose heritage reflects centuries of medieval Christian and earlier Roman influence. Its small size and rural setting place it among the many minor municipalities that make up the demographic fabric of inland northern Spain.
