Bugedo

Spain

Bugedo is a municipality and town located in the province of Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is one of the many small municipalities that make up this province in the northern part of the country.

The town lies within the comarca of Ebro, in the northern reaches of Burgos province, close to the border with the neighbouring province of Álava and the Basque Country. This places it in the Ebro river valley, a corridor that has historically served as a route between the Castilian plateau and the Basque lands to the north.

Like other municipalities in the province of Burgos, Bugedo forms part of the administrative and cultural framework of Castile and León. The province of Burgos is known for its medieval heritage, including the city of Burgos and its cathedral, though Bugedo itself is a small and relatively unassuming settlement within that wider region.
