Benuza is a village and municipality in Spain, located in the region of El Bierzo. El Bierzo lies within the province of León, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, in the country's northwest.
The municipality is made up of the village of Benuza together with the surrounding rural territory that falls under its administration. According to the 2010 census carried out by Spain's national statistics institute, the INE, the municipality had a population of 601 inhabitants.
That figure reflects the small, sparsely populated character typical of much of this part of El Bierzo, where municipalities often consist of a principal village and a number of smaller outlying settlements spread across the countryside.
