Barromán is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Ávila within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is a small rural settlement in the central part of the country, situated in the region north of the city of Ávila.
The municipality is sparsely populated. According to the 2025 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Barromán had a population of 174 inhabitants. This figure reflects the pattern of small, declining villages characteristic of much of rural Castile and León.
As a municipality, Barromán holds the administrative status of a municipio, the basic local government unit in Spain, encompassing the village itself and its surrounding territory. Its small population and location in the province of Ávila place it among the many minor municipalities that make up the sparsely inhabited countryside of the Castilian plateau.
