Armuna

Spain

Armuña is a municipality in the province of Segovia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the central part of the country, in the region north of the Sierra de Guadarrama and the city of Segovia.

The municipality is small and rural. According to the 2004 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Armuña had a population of 247 inhabitants. This figure reflects the modest size typical of many villages in the sparsely populated countryside of inland Castile and León.

Armuña should not be confused with other places in Spain bearing similar names, including the town of La Armuña in the province of Salamanca and the comarca of La Armuña in the same province. The Armuña described here is specifically the municipality in Segovia.
