Arija is a small town and municipality in the province of Burgos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It lies to the north of the provincial capital, Burgos.
The town's history dates back more than a thousand years. It is divided into two parts, known as the "neighborhood above" and the "neighborhood below," the latter also called Vilga. It formed part of the Santa Gadea de Alfoz.
