Ardón is a municipality in the province of León, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the northwestern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental climate and a landscape of plains and low hills typical of the Leonese countryside.
According to the 2004 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality had a population of 659 inhabitants. This small population figure reflects the modest size of the community and its rural character, consistent with many municipalities in the province of León.
As a municipality, Ardón encompasses the settlement itself along with the surrounding area under a single local administration, a common structure for Spanish towns of this scale. Its location in Castile and León places it within one of Spain's largest autonomous communities, though the municipality itself remains small and sparsely populated.
