Arconada

Spain

Arconada is a municipality in the province of Palencia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León in northern Spain. It is one of the many small rural municipalities that make up this sparsely populated part of the country.

The municipality is located in the Tierra de Campos comarca, a predominantly flat agricultural landscape in the centre of the province of Palencia. Like other settlements in the area, its economy and traditional way of life have long been tied to cereal farming and other agricultural activity.

Arconada is administered as a municipality in its own right, with local government responsibilities exercised through a municipal council. It lies within the wider Castile and León region, whose capital is Valladolid, and the province of Palencia, whose capital is the city of Palencia.
