Malaguilla is a municipality in the province of Guadalajara, within the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is a small rural settlement in the central part of the country, located in the Guadalajara comarca rather than in any of Spain's larger urban centres.
The municipality is sparsely populated. According to the 2004 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Malaguilla had a population of 137 inhabitants. That figure reflects the pattern common to many villages in inland Castile-La Mancha, where populations are small and dispersed across a wide municipal territory.
As a municipality, Malaguilla holds the administrative status of a municipio, the basic local government unit in Spain, with its own local administration. Its location in the province of Guadalajara places it within the broader Castile-La Mancha region, one of Spain's largest autonomous communities by area.
