Escalona is a municipality in the north of the province of Toledo, within the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It lies in the central part of the country, in the region historically known as Castile.
According to the 2017 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 3,240 inhabitants. A notable feature of its settlement pattern is that many residents live in several housing estates located outside the town itself, rather than in the town centre.
