Chozas de Canales is a small farming village and municipality in the province of Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain.
Improved road links from Madrid, to the north, contributed to the village doubling in size between 1995 and 2005, as new chalets were built. The village now has a supermarket and a restaurant that opens in the evenings. The new chalets are essentially identical and modern, and do not blend in with the older traditional village houses; the newer part of the village has been described as resembling a large council estate.
The old part of the village retains its traditional character and a strong community spirit, and the village centre still maintains its charm and tradition.
