Belinchon

Spain

Belinchón is a municipality in the province of Cuenca, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, central Spain. It lies within the comarca of La Mancha de Cuenca, a largely flat, dry agricultural district on the southern Meseta plateau.

The surrounding landscape is typical of La Mancha, with extensive cereal fields, vineyards, and olive groves forming the basis of the local rural economy. The area has a continental Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and cold winters.

Belinchón is one of the many small historic settlements scattered across Cuenca province, a sparsely populated region whose towns share a common heritage of Castilian village architecture and traditions. It is connected by road to nearby towns and to the provincial capital, Cuenca, which lies to the east.
