Baides is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Guadalajara within the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha. It lies in the central part of the country, in a region characterised by a sparse, rural population.
The municipality is small in size and population. According to the 2004 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Baides had a population of 63 inhabitants. This figure reflects the low population density typical of many villages in the Guadalajara province.
As a municipality, Baides forms part of the local administrative structure of the province of Guadalajara, which is one of the five provinces making up Castile-La Mancha. Its small resident population places it among the many minor rural settlements found across this part of central Spain.
