Algora

Spain

Algora is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Guadalajara within the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha. It lies in the central part of the country, in a region characterised by a sparse, rural population spread across numerous small municipalities.

The municipality is small in population. According to the 2004 census carried out by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), Algora had 112 inhabitants. This figure places it among the many lightly populated settlements typical of the Guadalajara province.

As a municipality, Algora constitutes a basic unit of local administration in Spain, with its own local government. Its small size and inland location in Castile-La Mancha define its character as a quiet rural community rather than an urban centre.
