Puertomingalvo is a municipality in the province of Teruel, in the Aragon region of Spain. It is situated at a high elevation, a characteristic that shapes both its climate and its setting within the surrounding mountainous terrain of the province.
The municipality is small in population: according to the 2004 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Puertomingalvo had 182 inhabitants. This figure reflects the modest scale of the community and places it among the many sparsely populated municipalities of inland Teruel.
As a municipality, Puertomingalvo forms part of the local administrative structure of Aragon, with the provincial capital of Teruel serving as the nearest major administrative centre. Its elevated position in the province is its most defining geographic feature.
