Mora de Rubielos is a municipality in the province of Teruel, in the Aragon region of Spain. It is situated in the mountainous area of the Iberian System, a major mountain range that runs through eastern and central Spain.
The town lies within the comarca (district) of Gúdar-Javalambre, a largely rural and sparsely populated part of inland Teruel characterized by its elevated terrain and cool climate relative to much of lowland Aragon. Its setting in the Iberian System places it among the higher-altitude settlements of the province.
Mora de Rubielos is best known for its well-preserved historic centre and its medieval castle, which is among the most prominent fortifications in the region. The town serves as a local administrative and service centre for the surrounding mountainous area.
