Longas

Spain

Longás is a municipality in the Cinco Villas comarca, in the province of Zaragoza, within the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is a small, sparsely populated rural settlement in northeastern Spain.

According to the 2023 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Longás had a population of 44 inhabitants. That figure reflects the broader pattern of depopulation seen across many of Aragon's inland villages, where municipal populations are often counted in the tens rather than the thousands.

The municipality's administrative identity is defined by its position within the Cinco Villas comarca, one of the historic districts of the Zaragoza province. As a municipality, Longás holds the local administrative status granted to recognised population centres under Spanish law, encompassing both the village itself and the surrounding rural territory.
