Laspaúles (known in Ribagorçan as Laspaúls and in Aragonese as Las Pauls) is a municipality in the province of Huesca, in the Aragon region of northeastern Spain. It lies in the comarca of Ribagorza, a mountainous area of the Pyrenees near the border with France and Catalonia.
According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 277 inhabitants. Like many small Pyrenean villages in the region, it is characterised by a dispersed settlement pattern, with the municipal territory comprising the main village together with several smaller hamlets.
The name of the place appears in three languages, reflecting the linguistic diversity of the Ribagorza area, where Aragonese, Catalan (in its Ribagorçan variant) and Spanish have historically coexisted. The municipality's small population and high-altitude setting in the Pyrenees are its defining features.
