Spain

Ilche is a municipality in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is located in the comarca of Somontano de Barbastro, in the foothills of the Pyrenees in northeastern Spain.

According to the 2018 census by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality had a population of 212 inhabitants. Like many small municipalities in rural Aragon, Ilche has experienced a decline in population over the twentieth century as residents moved to larger cities.

The municipality is known for its agricultural surroundings and its position near the Sierra de Guara natural park, a protected area popular for hiking and canyoning. The area's economy has traditionally been based on agriculture, particularly cereal crops, olives, and wine production, which remain important to the local community.
