Foz-Calanda is a village and municipality in the province of Teruel, within the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is located in the eastern part of the country, in a region characterised by a sparse population and a landscape of hills and river valleys typical of inland Aragon.
According to the 2004 census carried out by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), the municipality had a population of 277 inhabitants. This small population figure reflects the village's status as a minor rural municipality within the province of Teruel, one of the least densely populated provinces in Spain.
As a municipality, Foz-Calanda holds administrative responsibility for its local area and is counted as a distinct entity in Spanish national statistics. The village's name combines "Foz," a term often referring to a gorge or narrow pass in Spanish geography, with "Calanda," which also designates a neighbouring municipality in the same province.
