Camarena de la Sierra is a municipality in the province of Teruel, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is located in the mountainous terrain of the Sierra de Camarena, within the wider Sistema Ibérico range, in the south-eastern part of the province near its border with the Valencian Community.
The municipality is small and sparsely populated. According to the 2004 census carried out by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), Camarena de la Sierra had a population of 166 inhabitants. Its elevated setting and surrounding sierra give it a distinctly upland character compared with the lower-lying settlements of the province.
Like many municipalities in rural Teruel, Camarena de la Sierra is defined administratively as a single municipality covering both the village itself and the surrounding countryside. Its name reflects its position in the mountains, with "de la Sierra" distinguishing it from other places named Camarena.
