Bierge

Spain

Bierge is a municipality in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is a small, sparsely populated rural settlement in the foothills of the Pyrenees region of northern Aragon.

According to the 2010 census published by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality had a population of 258 inhabitants. This low figure reflects the pattern of depopulation common to many small municipalities in the Aragonese countryside.

As a municipality, Bierge is the basic unit of local administration in Spain, covering the settlement itself along with the surrounding territory. Its location in Huesca places it within one of the three provinces that make up the Aragon region.
