Atea is a municipality in the province of Zaragoza, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It forms part of the comarca (county) of Campo de Daroca, a historic district in the southwestern portion of the province.
The surrounding Campo de Daroca is a rural, sparsely populated area of the Iberian System marked by open farmland and hill country. Atea shares in this agricultural setting, typical of the small municipalities that make up the comarca.
