Alquézar is a municipality in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is a small settlement, recorded as having a population of 301 as of 2012.
The town is located in the Somontano de Barbastro comarca, an area of Aragon that lies between the Pyrenean foothills and the Ebro valley. Its historic core is built around a castle and the collegiate church of Santa María la Mayor, a complex with origins in the 9th century that was later expanded in the Romanesque style. The surrounding landscape is defined by the canyon of the Vero River, which cuts through limestone and forms part of the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park.
Alquézar's medieval layout, narrow streets, and cliffside setting have made it a destination within the Somontano wine region, and it is listed among the association Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España.
