Aliaga is a municipality in the province of Teruel, in the Aragon region of eastern Spain. It is one of the many small settlements that make up this sparsely populated part of the country, where municipalities often cover wide rural areas around a single main village.
The surrounding landscape is typical of inland Teruel, a mountainous and dry terrain with a low population density compared with much of Spain. The province of Teruel as a whole is known for its medieval heritage and for its extensive areas of open countryside.
