Polícar is a municipality in the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It is a small settlement in the Andalusian countryside, part of the comarca of Guadix.
The municipality is sparsely populated, with a recorded population of 241 inhabitants at the 2004 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE). Like many villages in the province of Granada, it is characterised by its small size and rural setting.
