Nerja is a municipality located in the province of Málaga within the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Situated on the Costa del Sol, the town is positioned along the country's southern Mediterranean coast.
The municipality is part of the comarca of La Axarquía and is situated approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) east of the city of Málaga.
