Jérez del Marquesado is a municipality in the province of Granada, in the Andalusia region of southern Spain. It lies in the eastern part of the province, within the comarca of Guadix, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
The municipality borders several others: Cogollos de Guadix, Albuñán, Valle del Zalabí, Alquife, Lanteira, Bérchules, Trevélez, Güéjar Sierra and Lugros. Its position among these neighbouring terms places it at the transition between the Guadix basin and the higher terrain of the Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarras.
