Gádor is a municipality in the province of Almería, within the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It is located in the comarca of the Alpujarra Almeriense, in the valley of the Andarax river, roughly 15 kilometres from the provincial capital, Almería.
The town is set against the lower slopes of the Sierra de Gádor, the mountain range from which it takes its name. Like much of the surrounding Andarax valley, the area has traditionally been associated with agriculture, including citrus and other irrigated crops, alongside the marble and mineral workings for which the Sierra de Gádor has long been known.
Gádor is also recorded in connection with a notorious crime: the murder of Bernardo Gonzalez Parra by Francisco Leona, which took place in the municipality on 28 June 1910.
