Fuente Obejuna is a town located in the province of Córdoba within the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. The municipality currently has a population of approximately 5,000 inhabitants.
Situated roughly 98 kilometers from the provincial capital of Córdoba, the town gained historical prominence through Lope de Vega's play, Fuenteovejuna. The play depicts a significant uprising that occurred in the town in 1476.
