Chauchina is a municipality in the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It lies in the Vega de Granada, the fertile plain surrounding the city of Granada, roughly 15 kilometres west of the provincial capital.
The area is traditionally agricultural, with the surrounding flatland used for crops such as cereals, vegetables and especially asparagus, for which the Vega de Granada is known. The municipality is served by the A-92 motorway and by the Granada metropolitan transport system, and it forms part of the wider Granada urban area.
Chauchina is also known for its connection to the Sierra Nevada ski resort: the town lies near the road and rail routes heading southeast towards the mountains, and its name is associated with the nearby Granada airport area. Its built heritage is modest, centred on the parish church and the typical whitewashed streets of a Vega de Granada town.
