Castilleja del Campo is a municipality in the province of Seville, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It lies within the wider Seville metropolitan area and the comarca of Aljarafe, a district of towns and villages on the gently rolling terrain west and southwest of the provincial capital.
The town is small, with a population recorded as 651 inhabitants in the 2006 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE). Like many settlements in the Aljarafe, it has historically been an agricultural community, set among the olive groves and cereal fields typical of the surrounding countryside.
Castilleja del Campo is one of several Andalusian localities bearing the place-name element "Castilleja," a name shared with nearby towns such as Castilleja de la Cuesta and Castilleja de Guzmán. It should not be confused with these separate municipalities, which lie closer to Seville itself.
