Canillas de Aceituno is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It lies in the east of the province and is one of the municipalities that make up the comarca of Axarquía and the judicial district of Vélez-Málaga.
The village is small and sits at the foot of the La Maroma mountains. Its position within the Axarquía places it in the eastern part of Málaga province, in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia.
