Benaoján is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Its inhabitants are called benaojanos.
The municipality covers a surface area of 32 km² and sits at an altitude of 524 meters. It is located approximately 17 kilometers from Ronda and 116 kilometers from Málaga, the provincial capital.
Benaoján lies within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park.
