Bédar is a municipality in the province of Almería, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is located in the southeastern part of the country, within the wider Almería region of Andalusia.
The settlement has Moorish origins and later became a parish. Its development was closely tied to iron mining in the surrounding area, and in recent years it grew to around 1,000 residents.
