Barbate is a Spanish municipality situated in the Province of Cádiz within the autonomous community of Andalusia. It functions as a coastal town located along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, positioned in close proximity to the Strait of Gibraltar.
The municipality covers a total area of 142.17 km2. As of 2019, it had a registered population of 22,518 residents.
