Baena is a town and municipality located in the province of Córdoba within the Andalusia region of southern Spain. It is situated on the slope of a hill near the river Marbella.
The town is positioned approximately 52 kilometres (32 miles) southeast of the city of Córdoba by road. As of 2012, the population of Baena was recorded at 20,266 residents.
