Atarfe is a Spanish city located in the north-central region of the Vega of Granada within the province of Granada, situated in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring municipalities, including Moclín, Colomera, Albolote, Maracena, Granada, Santa Fe, and Pinos Puente. The local geography is defined by the passage of the Cubillas and Colomera rivers through the area.
The city is composed of several distinct districts, which include Caparacena, Sierra Elvira, Hurpe, and Cubillas.
