Algarinejo is a municipality in the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It lies within the comarca of the Poniente Granadino, in the western part of the province.
The town is situated by the Pesquería River, which runs through the area. According to the 2005 census (INE), Algarinejo had a population of 4,184 inhabitants.
