Alcalá del Río is a municipality located in the province of Seville within the Andalusia region of southern Spain. Situated at an altitude of 30 meters, the town is positioned approximately 13 kilometers from the city of Seville.
The municipality covers a total area of about 83 square kilometers. As of 2005, it had a recorded population of 9,317 residents, resulting in a population density of 112.3 people per square kilometer.
