Albolote is a city situated in the province of Granada within the Andalusia region of Spain. It constitutes one of the thirty-four entities that comprise the Granada Metropolitan Area.
The municipality is composed of several populations, including El Aire, El Chaparral, and Parque del Cubillas y Pretel, along with various residential areas located within its legal borders. Additionally, the city's territory contains Granada's Penitential Center. As of 2005, the population of Albolote was recorded at 15,563 by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística.
