Abrucena is a municipality in the province of Almería, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, southern Spain. It is one of the many small municipalities that make up the Almería province in the country's southeastern corner.
As a Spanish municipality, Abrucena forms part of the local administrative structure through which the province and the wider Andalusian region are governed. The province of Almería lies in eastern Andalusia, bordering the Mediterranean Sea to the south.
