Miengo is a municipality in the autonomous community of Cantabria, on the northern coast of Spain. It is one of the many small municipalities that make up the Cantabria region, which lies along the Bay of Biscay in the north of the country.
Like other municipalities in Cantabria, Miengo is a local administrative unit with its own municipal government, and it sits within the wider comarca of the Cantabrian coast. The region is known for its green, hilly landscapes between the sea and the Cantabrian Mountains.
