Ribadesella is a small municipality situated within the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain. Covering an area of 84 square kilometres, the municipality is positioned along the coast of the Cantabrian Sea at the mouth of the River Sella.
The location serves as a gateway to the region and is situated near the Picos de Europa mountains. It shares borders with Llanes to the east, Cangas de Onís and Parres to the south, and Caravia to the west. Additionally, the municipality has notable ties to the Spanish royal family through Queen Letizia.
