Llanera is a municipality situated within the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain. It serves as a local administrative center and is defined by its proximity to several major regional hubs.
The municipality shares borders with Gijón and Corvera de Asturias to the north, Oviedo to the south, Siero and Gijón to the east, and Illas and Las Regueras to the west. The capital of Llanera is located approximately 11 kilometers from Oviedo, 20 kilometers from Avilés, and 22 kilometers from Gijón.
